The This Side of the Bridge: March to the Capitol will mark the powerful conclusion of the 60th Anniversary Commemoration of the Selma to Montgomery March, bringing together participants from around the world to retrace the historic final leg of the journey that helped shape American democracy.
Taking place on March 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, this event will begin at the City of St. Jude Catholic Parish, where thousands of marchers gathered in 1965 before making their final push to the steps of the Alabama State Capitol. In a tribute to the courage and determination of those who marched for voting rights six decades ago, modern-day participants will walk the same path, reaffirming their commitment to justice and equality.
